- Our Plantation shutters here at Shadecity2020 come with hidden louvers and are a great choice for those who want to have a classic design that doesn’t age. They also provide privacy and an extra layer of security while also being great for room ventilation. The louvers can be adjusted to allow in more or less light and they are easy to clean and maintain.
- Window shutters have louvers that can be tilted up and down similar to blinds. However, these shutters are constructed to fit to the window frame and are able to open out like doors. Plantation shutters are opened and closed by hand. The louvers can be controlled by a traditional tilt rod running down the middle of the face of the louvers or by a hidden tilt rod located on the back of the louvers.
